Durable and long lasting, in outdoor applications. Great wear resistance. Bry-Tech Marine1 canvases have excellent water and oil repellency. They are able to withstand a short, light rain. Breathable, and water resistant, not a waterproof fabric. Waterproof fabrics tend to trap air and moisture under the fabric, creating mold, and other problems. Solution-Dyed acrylic fabric, not the less expensive Conventional Dye acrylic fabric. The dye is added to the liquid fiber solution, before the yarn or fabric is made. Effective sunscreen protection as they filter high percentages of ultraviolet radiation. The level of protection varies according to color. Canvases with a darker color offer better UV protection than lighter colors.
